Auto Expo 2018: Hyundai Swachh Can Lauched in Support to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan
Countries second largest manufacturer launched the Swachh Can initiative under its CSR pillar on the second day of Auto Expo 2018. The campaign was launched by their brand ambassador – The badshah of Bollywood – Mr Shahrukh Khan.
Under this campaign, a portable bin for all Hyundai cans was launched in order to support the Swachh Bharat Campaign. Mr Y K Koo, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., said, “As a caring manufacturer and in-line with the nationwide Clean India Movement, we have developed Swachh Can, a portable bin for all Hyundai Cars.”
Hyundai recently conducted Survey of Car owners and came to a conclusion that 98% respondents deeply care about cleanliness and would prefer a portable bin to store waste items. In order to solve this issue, All Hyundai Product line up would be factory fitted with Swachh Cans from 1st March 2018.
On the occasion of inaugurating this campaign, Mr Shahrukh Khan said, “I admire Hyundai for their socially relevant campaigns that are so pertinent to every individual. Swachh Can is a simple yet powerful idea and I would like to request every single car owner to go ahead and use it and play their role in Clean India Movement.”
From the mouth of team Autobot India, “it is not only the responsibility of manufacturers like Hyundai, but the responsibility of all Indians to keep India clean and support such initiatives. Swachh Can is just one small step and we must make sure that we must dispose of waste items and not throw things around.”
